The verse my life is built upon is written in Acts. 1: 7-8. And he said to them, it is not for you to know times or seasons, which the father has put in his own authority, but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem in all Judea, in Samaria and to the ends to the earth.

For me and my wife, it means that I do not have to think or to worry anymore about the political situation, or to worry about problems, land, money or my future, because everything is in His times and seasons, and everything is in the hands of the Lord. This leads then to my own personal calling and the fulfillment to my life. God is exchanging my weakness with his power, through the Holy Spirit. Through his power I can be his witness, which is the calling on my life. When the Lord is speaking to go to Jerusalem, than I know that I have to be a witness to my home and family. Further on when he speaks about Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the world, it means for me, not to be limited to one place, but to go to many. As an evangelist I have to obey the Lord, because this is the calling to my life. This verse follows me everywhere. I pray that I can be faithful with the Lord and with the responsibility the Lord has given me. A big example for my life is the evangelist Reinhard Bonke. His vision and drive to share the gospel in all the world is very encouraging for me. He is inspiring me. His quote is: To empty hell and to populate heaven. This is a wonderful slogan, that speaks to my heart. He is also an example for me how to move in the power of the Holy Spirit. The miracles and signs that are following his ministry are impressing me very much. This is pushing me to continue.

My spiritual gift are evangelism and sharing the good news. I am in general a people person. I like to built relationships, I like to talk with people, and if I don’t’ do it I fell bored. I also like to move from place to place, speaking at different places. It does not matter to me how far I have to drive for it. The important thing for me, is to reach the people. I like to reach out to different cultures, different religions, and to different skin color. I like to establish new ministries, and to lead it for the necessary time, until a capable person is found to continue the new work. For my wife her spiritual gifts are worship and music, counseling and sharing Gods word. Both of us, we try to work together with our spiritual gifts. We both would like to move more in our spiritual gifts, and to increase our spiritual gifting. Our life philosophy is: Our philosophy is that for God is nothing impossible. This philosophy has guided us already through many challenges of life. If we had problems with money, problems in our marriage, sick children, problems with our papers, than we could always trust, that for God nothing is impossible. It is a strong knowledge, that God is in charge.

It has direction because we follow Gods will, his word and his guidance. We trust, that the Lord will instruct us, what to do at the right time. We believe our life and ministry is in the Lords hands. He brought us together, he put us at the place where we are now. And the good work He started He will finish and perfect as well. May we always follow the Lord and not our own projects, desires and plans. May the Lord protect us of false steps, my he guide us always in His truth.

Personal Strategy :

Our theology of mission develops into a long term strategy through faithfulness. There are many people who think that they are called to a specific country. They might have a real calling, but after the first storms, and struggles, after they might find challenges and obstacles, they suddenly think, that they might not have heard the Lords voice correctly. They give excuses and return back where they came from. The key for a long term strategy is perseverance. Going through battles will lead us also into victory.

Florence Chadwick failed in her first attempt to swim the English Channel because of fog. She couldn't' see, yet she was less than a half mile from the shore. When they told her, how close she had been, she broke down and wept. But she went back again, and broke the world record because she understood, that everything she had lived and worked for could be hers if she would “only go a little farther. This I our long term strategy. Sometimes we think that we do not see the shore, but if we are faithful, eager, and focusing on our aim, the Lord will help us. For example we started a small ministry in Ramle around 3 years ago. We started to have meetings in the house of my sister. First, only my closest family came. By now we have a group of people that reach up to 25. Our theology of mission to reach out is successful. We visit the people, we celebrate with them, we listen to their needs, we pray for them. We bring them spiritual books to read and cassettes to listen. Now we are searching for a study place in Ramle, where they can receive a better training, in order that they also can reach out to others.

Also Jericho is a place where we serve. The strategy that we are using is a long term strategy for other people. It is to build relationship with them, for example, to visit their houses, to supply their needs, to bring food, and medical supply. They will learn to trust us, and we tell them about the love of the Lord and how the Lord loves us. That He takes care for us and protects us. Slowly we start to tell them about Jesus Christ. There are around 110 people who are coming to the meetings. The strategy for the Christians in name is different than for the other people. The Christians in name we can tell about Jesus directly, without a long time of waiting. But it is very necessary to explain them what it really means to be a Christian. When we meet in the home groups we explain them the difference of being born as a Christian, or being born again through a personal commitment through Christ.

But we like the strategy of Paul and take it as an example for us. He was going to different countries to preach the word of the Lord. After a group of people came to the Lord, he send somebody else to take care for them, and to teach them the word of the Lord, and like that Paul was going from place to place. That’s also our strategy to go from place to place to share the word of the Lord with all people, to start a home group, and to give this ministry into the hands of a faithful and grown up believer.

Our specific Strategy is the strategy of a farmer who blows the ground, sows the seed, waters the ground, and waits for the first green leave to appear through the ground. After the little green plant has grown bigger, it is put into a certain prepared ground, where a lot of other plants are already planted. That’s the time, when we as the farmers move back to continue to sow, and arrange a gardener to take care for the planted ground.

As we are going to many cities and villages, the most important is, first to see the need of the people. Are the people educated or not, are they poor or rich? Are they criminals in drugs or just ordinary people. What is their religion, and what do they believe in ? What is their culture and what are their habits? We first have to have an in detailed information about the situation of the people group we want to reach. We can not preach the good News to someone who is physical hungry. First we have to satisfy his Physical needs before we can meet his spiritual hunger. For example many people in Jericho can not read and write. In order that they can read the Bible, they have to learn how to read. So we started a reading and writing course and we have around 12 people who are joining the class. We also have a medical team coming in January, to treat for free patients with different sicknesses. That’s a practical way of showing the love of Jesus, but also an opportunity to witness to them and to winn hearts and souls for the Lord.

Our final aim is, to bring more souls to the Body of Christ.
